Mail merge

  1. Prepare Avery 5160 (2"x4")
  2. Open MS Word (new document)
  3. Menu -> Tools -> Letters and Mailings -> Mail Merge
  4. Follow the right pane
    1. Document type: Labels
      • Click "Next" at bottom
    2. Label Options: Avery Standard -> 5160
    3. Recipients
      1. Use an existing list
      2. Browse...
      3. find file and double click
      4. Select table (usually "people" or "case")
      5. Choose discriminatory variables
      • Next
    4. Arrange labels
      1. Design the top left label
      2. If the "Mail merge" toolbar menu is not there, add it by right clicking over the toolbar
      3. insert merge field(s)
      4. arrange & format inserted fields
      5. click "Update all labels"
      • Next
    5. Preview
      • Next
    6. Complete the merge
      1. "Edit individual labels" will open a new word file with the product of mail merge
